the LooOoong weekend

it started Thursday with st. patrick's day which i wouldn't have even noticed if friendster's skin wasn't all green. lol. The UC bar WAS extra rowdy but i swept past it and went home without a single drop of alcohol like a good girl.

So saturday came and we (me, ron and ate jamie) decided that we should go get pissed at least once this long weekend. So off we went to Manuka.. took a stroll along the swankiness of the place. . went to kingston to literally just take a peek. We, of course, ended up in civic where we got our drinks off king o'malley's where there was a live band playing but we ended up sitting outside even if it was cold. We went to some bar.. where i had some .. ummm misdaventures. After trying to dance to music i couldn't actually dance to (it wasn't Rnb) we headed on home. After sobering up the DD first of course. LOL. police was swarming all over the place as it WAS afterall a drinking holiday. That night affirmed the fact that no matter where you throw me.. i'll be okay as long as i'm with great friends -- so it doesn't matter where you go.. it's who you're with.

on the 7th day. i rested. :)

monday's the 92nd birthday of Canberra. It was a public holiday --- but i had to head to ciVic to meet up with groupmates to confer about our IMC campaign. I wouldn't bore you guys with the gory details... but i'll share what i've learned -- people have different personalities and you should learn to be tolerant and to compromise in order to work together harmoniously.. however.. you shouldn't allow other people to think that you are a push over lest they forget to respect you as a person. I've learned something about myself as well -- i'm usually a good sport and i've learned to be patient with people who unwittingly offend me.. but if they cross the line too often i can get really fiesty.. i do not stand to be disparaged specially when it's deliberate.

On a lighter note.. I love love love having my very talented, blooming photographer bestfriend in the same flat as i am. He takes random pictures of me. Sometimes we're watching the telly and he would just go. "STOP! Don't Move!" and he'll grab his camera.. adjust the lighting and snap my pictures. So while he is developing his photography skills.. i get to be his in house model for a minute. mwahahahaha. Love this guy so much. Here are some of his shots.
