Finally.. Floriade!!

finally.. FLORIADE!!!

It was gorgeous!! I can't believe I've been here in Canberra for 2 years and this is my first time there. You see Floriade is what Canberra's known for (and maybe Stonefest.. but that's popular to.. umm. stoners?! oooh! and the unbelievable number of roundabouts.. and the fact that porn and weed are legal here.. anyhoo.. i digress.) Me.. lover of flowers and any opportunity to camwhore.. am a floriade virgin no longer.

I have been bugging Jeff to bring me to Floriade for aaaaaaaaaages. We were supposed to go on our 6th monthsary but we were to hungover after Larla's party. Today we finally had the same day off and decided to just go for it. Good thing too as apparently the festival of flowers ends tomorrow. And so some of the flowers were a bit wilted but it was breathtaking nonetheless. I just wanted to jump on them or pick them but I behaved myself and contented myself with taking pictures of it (or jeff did.. little japanese tourist that he is).

It was a perfect day.. It was warm and there was a lovely breeze and we were just in high spirits.. We had tiny little pizzas in this tent in front of the lake.. walked around hand in hand.. It was heaps of (good, clean) fun..

and so here are our pictures.. (that's just about half of it..) it's all us and the flowers. bear with it.

Jeff also bought me a handcrafted glass picture frame with butterflies because he knew i liked it. We're going to put our fave picture of our day there (once we finally get to print it). What a sweetie! After walking around the whole place we went in search of the famed fudge. We didn't find it.. so we settled for ice cream instead.. me with some strawberry stick and him with a GAYTIME! bhahahahaha.

We capped the perfect day with fraps from starbucks in the city where we met up with his friend Sua.

Thanks wombat. I had an awesome awesome time.
