I'm back Finally

well.. there.. Optus and AAPT finally got their act together and gave our phone line back.. after much screaming and shrieking from Larla who had to deal with them. poor soul.

well i owe u guys heaps of stories.. first comes first..

THE COFFEE THING

it was so long ago.. i don't remember much of the nitty gritty details. I remember though that we planned to meet at Civic Starbucks at 4. I went to Civic 2 hours earlier with Larla and Rog.. and much to my dismay there was a Multicultural Festival going on. there were booths everywhere, it was nosiy and heaps of people milling around. It wasn't exactly the best day to meet up with someone you don't know. but well..

So at 4 i went to starbucks.. sat outside with my frappe and consumed my winfields like i'd die if i stopped. Needless to say it was awkward at first.. it's understandable though.. we haven't really met face to face before. But after awkward small talk.. we eased into interesting conversations that lasted till.. well.. till it was dinner time really. So we wandered around the multicultural festival.. and was overwhelmed by the amount of choices we had that he ended up buying from the deli.

we decided to get some drinks and took quite some time deciding where to get them. We ended up at Gus' and had more very interesting conversations about things i never thought i'd be sharing with a virtual stranger. But this guy had this thing about him that made me at ease. My bestfriend Ron came to pick me up (being the protective bloke that he is.. protective of me at least).. after a couple of vodka and tonics.. it was time to go home. Much to my surprise it was already 11PM.

I can safely say that meeting this guy that I met through the internet was a risk that I'm glad I took. I won't say I'm going to make a habit of meeting people on line.. i'm not cut out for that. But I met a top bloke and had quality conversations with a an interesting guy. All in all it was time well spent. :)

PS> to les... who may be reading this. Thanks for the great time :) take good care, aright?

VALENTINE's DAY
how did i spend mine? With one of the guys i love most.
Ron cooked me a beautiful dinner. We had a hawaiian theme going on in the balcony and the set the table with a fine dining flair and our favorite alternative music playing from his Mac. I wore my pretty beach dress and enjoyed the 3 course meal Ron so lovingly prepared (he cooked my fave! -- shrimps!! YUM!). We had some red wine and talked our hearts out.
I had a great time with him as usual. i didn't have time to wallow in self - pity about not having a proper v-day date. I mean why would i with a best friend like him? Love u munchkin! haha .*mwah*

i'm always on the verge of going somewhere else. Not one to settle, i've lived in 7 cities, 4 countries.. and well.. i intend to keep on counting. i live for travelling, shopping, making my parents proud, going to the beach, hanging out with people as insane as i am, boozing and ummm.. having the freedom to be the occasional bum
