hangover hassles

the morning after i've had too much to drink..
my mouth feels like it's stuffed with cotton balls
my head pounds like there are a hundred little carpenters hammering away in there
my hair is all tangled up beyond the help of the meanest detangler
i reek like dan murphy's stock room
my tummy feels so acidic, if i go anywhere near a fire i just might burst into flames
my limbs refuse to cooperate
and my eyes just would not open..
so why? WHY drink too much?
well.. because when i'm drunk..
i lose myself for a bit
and i let go of my inhibitions
and depending on how drunk i actually am -
i am excused for being silly and cheeky
and i can chuck the pretentious robes i wear all week long
and i can be the me i wish i could be when i'm sobre.
the hangover's a hassle
but i sort of reckon it's worth it
if only for being able to chuck all the logic off of my usually rational brain.
