the ALCOHOLIC nerd

I have always maintained that I am an ALCOHOLIC NERD.

When you're a student in Canberra.. you need not compromise. You can be a full fledged nerd and a boozer at the same time. Studying and drinking can be done with some time to spare.

I am a NERD. Or so everyone says I am. I work on my assessments well ahead of time. I read all of my readings and take neat notes. I have a proper pencil case with highlighters, different coloured pens and pencils. I have colour coordinated binders with an organizational system. I go to the library and borrow references for essays before anyone else can get to it. I am a proper student. I do my work well. And I'm proud of it.

But that doesn't mean I lock myself in the room and library never seeing the light of day. This is where the alcoholic part comes in (i use the term alcoholic loosely. I really am not that bad really. I'm quite an average drinker for a uni student) I have heaps of fun and friends I love and go to night outs with.

And this is what this post is about, really. The fun side of being a uni student (not that studying isn't fun.. it can be when it's an interesting subject).. But the partying and meeting new people and bonding with old friends is the bit that you'll remember years after you've graduated. And this is what I'm sharing with you guys now .. the typical night outs for the average UC uni student like me.

i'm always on the verge of going somewhere else. Not one to settle, i've lived in 7 cities, 4 countries.. and well.. i intend to keep on counting. i live for travelling, shopping, making my parents proud, going to the beach, hanging out with people as insane as i am, boozing and ummm.. having the freedom to be the occasional bum
